Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable Announced For Summer 2023 – Pop Geeks

You’ve read the books. You’ve seen the show. You know being a member of the Scout Regiment isn’t easy. But are you ready to enlist?
You’ll soon be able to step into the boots of humanity’s last line of defense when VR Game developer UNIVRS presents Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable next summer. This isn’t the final season where people can just turn into Titans themselves and whale on each other. This is the original premise where you’re a tasty speck who has to take down a giant by aiming for a small spot on its neck. You’ve got Omni Directional Gear to help you, but that’s about it. The rest depends on your skills.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will have both single and multiplayer modes. In the single-player mode, you must stare down titans one by one to save the city. The co-op mode will differ in some way from that, but the dev team hasn’t specified how yet. Another question is how this will work in VR without making players sick — if I recall, defeating Titans involves a LOT of swinging around on cables.
“We believe that the ODM Gear is one of the best dreams for Attack on Titan fans,” says the team at UNIVRS, “UNIVRS is putting everything we have into making that dream come true, although developing the Attack on Titan game is already like a dream for us. VR game development is as challenging as fighting against titans, but we will fight through this battle until we deliver the best experience to you. Our Hearts and Souls To The Cause!”
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will debut on Meta Quest 2 in the summer of 2003, and contain both dub and sub audio options. We should learn more about it later.
