Global Fan Network (GFN), which produces fan channels AFTV and DR Sports, has revealed that it is expanding its presence in the Metaverse as it continues to push the boundaries of fan-led broadcasting.
With a special partnership with Epik, GFN takes further steps toward launching what will ultimately become an integrated metaverse experience through the Web3 platforms made available via the Epikverse.
In this first event, GFN will be joining PaxWorld’s unique hi-res metaverse to allow fans around the world to take part in live Q&A with Robbie Lyle, with live watch-alongs and further Q&A’s coming within the near future.
GFN’s foray into the metaverse will be through AFTV (formerly Arsenal Fan TV). AFTV went live on the Pax.world metaverse platform on Monday 14th November, with a Q&A with Founder and Group CEO, Robbie Lyle, and other presenters from the AFTV roster.

AFTV has consistently pushed the boundaries of fan-led broadcasting, and its move into the metaverse will enable fans to get closer to presenters and influencers, as well as allowing them to hang out virtually with other fans.
This latest partnership continues to strengthen AFTV and Global Fan Networks (GFN) ever-evolving innovative offering, cementing them as the industry leader in fan-focused broadcasting and aligning them with industry leaders such as Sky Sports and BT Sport.
Pax.world is an open metaverse platform with unparalleled audio, video, and chat features. This platform allows users to make life-like avatars using features such as 3D facial scanning which makes the experience hyper-personalised.
Founder and Group CEO, Robbie Lyle, says: “We’re always looking for ways to get more fans involved in our watch-alongs and broadcasts. Just because you’re watching the game from home, doesn’t mean you should have to miss out on the matchday experience.
“AFTV has always been for the fans, by the fans, and expanding into the metaverse allows us to reach new audiences and fans from around the globe, bringing the excitement and passion of match days to their living room.
“We have even more technological developments in the pipeline, all of which are designed to bring fans closer to the AFTV matchday experience.”
